Getting people to visit your blog

There are a lot of ways to get people to your blog. You want to allow for search engines to find your blog and you want links. Reciprocal links are good; however, you do not want to link to the same page that links back to you. In this case I have done this one time; however as a general rule it is not a good idea. The more links you have to your website or blog the better the ranking from most search engines.
You also want to make the title of your blog and the web address for your blog relevant to your topic. This also helps bring traffic to your blog. If you visit www.collaboration.me.uk and then visit the associated blogs, you will notice that the titles are directly related to the content.
While there are a lot of things that you can do to get visitors to your web site, two simple and important tactics are to include your blog on Facebook and similar pages and add something about your blog to the signature line for your e-mail, including the web address of your blog and inviting people to visit. When you send an e-mail to a group of friends who may forward that e-mail, you don't know how many other people may eventually get the e-mail and see your blog.

Adding interesting content

You need to add interesting content to your blog. You hope that others will add information that will add to the interest; however, the primary responsibility is yours. You can add links to other information as I do here and you can add newsreel content which provides additional information of interest to your visitors; however, if you want people to come and continue to come back you need to add good original content.
Space your ads and newsreel content so that people are more likely to see the ads as they are looking for other content. I like the larger ads.
